According to the asutralian lawmaker, staying married could save the planet. He siad that divorce makes people single again thus making them live a wasteful lifestyles. Engaging in wasteful lifestyle could only worsen the climate change.
Living on separate lives would entail having to consume more electricity, more water and the need for more rooms increases. But living with your partner decreases the consumption of all the above.
